It strives to help create a more fun, encouraging and enjoyable surroundings suitable for all children and the wide scope of their sensory needs. Sensory intelligence is the foundation of a child development. It entails a whole spectrum of processes that serve as building blocks for growth, development and overall learning. Adequate sensory processing is encouraged by sensory rich environments that are more dynamic and fun, but also work as a food for the brain.
Pilo Mini redefines pillows in terms of shape and function. It is co-designed by biomedical engineers and industrial designers. It has the shape of a rock, but is soft like a feather. Based on ergonomics data, the low-poly structure outlines a suitable curve to fit children's body shape. Pilo Mini has sound units integrated seamlessly in the memory foam core. They work without external power source and create a gently whispering sound field, which is adjusted for all bands of audio signals. Children can use Pilo Mini to enjoy bedtime story or music via any player with audio interface.
Cribby is an all-in-one intelligent baby crib integrated with electronic hardware and managed via a mobile application. It is equipped with a video cam and speakers for real-time child-parent connection and playing lullabies. Cribby helps parents to monitor their babies and the environment with the help of multiple sensors such as noise, motion detection, light, humidity, temperature, etc. If the child needs help the crib notifies parents through the mobile app. It also has a digital scale and dimmable LED lights which automatically turn on when the child wakes up in a dark room.
Alpy, represents a new perspective in the educational robot’s arena. It presents a versatile way of using educational robot components into an abstract perception of modular cubic form. It is an enabler robot that can be used widely from preschool to university degrees, due to its customizable nature. Alpy, can be transformed from a physically programmed robot towards an autonomous intelligent robot, and combines the functionalities of a complete STEAM kit with the attraction of a robot.
Cycling is a big step is a kid's life, creating memories of a special moment spent together with their parents. Kids keep discovering and developing their motor skills. This is the reason why the design of AKO is driven by a step-by-step learning process, in order to make the experience more kids-friendly and intuitive. Each step is visible to be more encouraging. The first bike is a new product introduced to the toddlers, they will have to discover it. This is why the bike is also thought to be as light as possible so it is easier to handle and control.
Pinocchio is a project of custom poker cards consisting of Sapphire, Vermilion and Collodi's decks. Sapphire is focused on the Blue Fairy and on her parts in the story, whereas Vermilion is dedicated to Mangiafuoco. Finally, Collodi's Pinocchio is a special edition that holds all the cards from Sapphire and Vermilion decks in a book-like tuck box. Designed and produced with the patronage of the National Carlo Collodi Foundation, the project depicts and enhances the original novel by Carlo Collodi "The Adventures of Pinocchio" in both its joyful and dark moments.
