Mil Yung Mak and Edward Lye, the designer of the awarded work Training centre, learning centre:Gamuda Academy by Mil Yung Mak and Edward Lye spells out, The Gamuda Academy was an adventurous transformation of 32,000sqf area of five 30-year-old shop lots into an urban, creative learning centre. Envisioned as a training cum learning hub where employees and members of the local community could undertake professional training it also houses The Enabling Academy, a unique platform which trains young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) to prepare them for the workforce. Combining innovative technology and the 3 key concepts, Interactive+Collaborative+Flexible, the design creates a dynamic and inviting space that is ideal for creative learning.
